Hard agree. Facts are facts, and fact is not everyone can fight. If you've never taught your kid how to defend themselves, it's a huge assumption to just think they'll be able to put in work in a fight. My girls have both taken self defense classes but I tell them all the time do your best to de-escalate a situation before it gets to the point of throwing hands. Especially since these kids these days will rather shoot someone than fight them.
What generation did that start with:patrice:

I guess the one before me:patrice:
I was born in 88 but we grew up fighting. Now when we got older and got our hands on toolies that unfortunately changed:beli:

But I feel like early late 70s early 80s people started that shoot over fight shyt

Regardless, i'm praying for your children growing up in this world. Seems like they in good hands though sis:salute:

A lot of parents just don't explain the differences between self-defense and fighting just to fight. And hardly any of them teach kids to de-escalate. So many fights in school start over hurt feelings or someone bumping into someone else.

shyt used to drive me insane.

Kid: My mom said if someone hit me, hit them back.
Me: First of all, she didn't hit you. She tapped you to get your attention. Second, now you on the floor crying and in pain. So what did this solve?
Kid: .....
Me: Exactly. Now come on so I can write this office referral and get back to teaching math. :beli::camby:
