Moms cancelled thanksgiving ...I fear my folks are getting bougie

Got a text message saying thanksgiving dinner was off and to find a thanksgiving dinner spot/event to goto ...

"be on the lookout for a good place that is serving Thanksgiving day dinner this year. I think i'd like to eat out at a good place....

...I mean a nice place like I heard someone say that the old Winfrey hotel serves a nice meal...

...My Plan B choice is Texas de Brazil who serves all day and night and advertises their Thanksgiving meal. As much as their regular priced meals are, I would still save hundreds of dollars not cooking."

Love my ma to death but I don't know where this is leading. Ever since the kids moved out there's been an observable trend....

• 1st it was more trips on top of regular family trips. Though these were mostly work related.

(...we always took yearly family vacations so trips are nothing new)

• 2nd she got one of those private club membership things

(I figured her coworkers had memberships so they could eat their ...so she got one to join them)

• 3rd She wanted to move to a new house(family shot it down) ...so instead she extended the home

(added a new dinning room, living room, 1/2bath, & rear porch)

• 4th Rented out the presidential suit at some Luxury Grand Bohemian hotel(less then 5 nationwide) on their new years eve 5 course meal night for my parents anniversary

(Which is nice for them of course, but all us chillin "had to" go also ...and pay/pitch in to boot)

• 5th Now I risk loosing my thanksgiving meal to hit up some bougie restaurant that may or may not get me full.

(Might have to hit up grandma house or one of my uncles/aunts...)






How will it all end bruhs ...luckily my daddy & brother are still pretty much the same. shyt I might see what my brother and his wife got on da pot Speaking of "wife" I might have to take da plunge if this trend continues














UPDATE:
Apparently da folks are doing thanksgiving "on the town" cause they are still remodeling the kitchen or something ....so says my sister anyway.
