SEATTLE — A Seattle woman was charged Tuesday with second-degree murder for allegedly beating her 14-year-old son to death with an extension cord, court documents state.

According to King County online booking records, Denaya Young, 29, was charged with second-degree in the Jan. 30 death of her 14-year-old son.

Court documents stated that officers with the Seattle Police Department responded to a 911 call for an unresponsive boy in a south Seattle apartment, KIRO reported. Police said that Young had made the call.

Young allegedly told officers that she “went too far” during an hourlong beating of the boy, according to the television station.

The teen, identified as Jemiere Da’metrius James Robinson, was temporarily revived by first responders but died shortly after arriving at Harborview Medical Center, KIRO reported.
Something something overwhelmed. Something Something stressed out. Something Something overstimulated. I expect a relative slap on the wrist for the magnitude of the crime.

Worthless bytch. But at the age of 14 ain't no way my momma could have beat me to death without me just letting her. Po boy was so feminized and weak from being raised by a teenage single mother he just stood there an took it.(unless he was special needs in which case I'm an a$$hole and take back what said) Sad shyt :francis:

I double down on what I said all you moist posters negging me for what I said can stay in ya feelings :manny:

An hour long beating?

The cruelty of some people.

And why you judging the boy for being abused at 14? Calling him feminized and weak?

:hhh: nasty commentary, man.
You know what my bad that does sound callous. I just know when I was 14 I was taller and stronger then my mom but the boy could have been special needs so I should take that into consideration I just don't know how you sit there and take that.

It's all good. Im not trying to harp on you. But, there's really no telling if he did or ever fought back against her. Maybe this has been a lifelong thing and he's been conditioned? You really never know. RIP 🕊️ to the little one.

:ohhh:Was he special needs , im asking cause I was blocking and holding when I was 9.

You ain't blocking shyt for 1 hr.

He probably was blocking then got hit with one or two and went into the fetal and mom just kept going.

According to court documents, Young, 29, beat the teen with an extension cord until his heart gave out. The medical examiner said the boy had 1,172 fresh injuries from the beating, and likely died from Sudden Inflammatory Response Syndrome (SIRS) or Distributive Shock. Court documents define SIRS as “when the body sends blood and blood serum to so many different injuries around the body, attempting to heal them, that it draws enough blood out of the muscles and other vital areas that there is not enough to sustain the heart.”

While the 14-year-old enduring the beating, his three siblings, a 5-month old, and a 4- and 6-year-old, were present. The teen’s stepfather was also present during the beating, but did nothing to stop it, according to court documents.

The stepfather told officers that he didn’t intervene with the teen’s previous beatings because the child is not his and he felt it wasn’t his place, saying it was best to mind his own business in “these situations,” court documents say.

Yeah, I'm done with this world, if I die this year good riddance. This world ain't worth it.
