Surprised people are even taking the time to listen to the first disc this early on. I'm skipping right to the second disc. Also - just off the second disc - how will this not be album of the year? What could possibly be better than Infamous era Mobb Deep? I'll answer my own question. Nothing.

Timeless is :banderas:. Beat Butcha did something beautiful on that track. Its by far the best track on the first disk.

This first CD is hit and miss for me.

Havoc on dirt :sadcam:

Looking out my window pointing shyt at police / To make matters worse im sippin on some OE
shyt got me buzzin im already buggin though / and mad little bottles that I drank bout a month ago
fukk is on my mind, i'm feeling bipolar, plus paranoid looking over both shoulders

The second CD is what I'm really looking forward to. Saving that for the journey home in the whip.

yep

Hav had way crazier shyt on 13, Beat Butcha came thru on Timeless but the other outside producers didnt bring any heat. i wasnt expecting them to tear it up on the mic, but did expect better prod

Don't ban me, you bumping that shyt on a legit system? You blowing my mind that you ain't fukking with this piff.

Edit..... That juicy j verse is the worst shyt ever. I'm in whip in tears listening to that track.

Don't really know what cats expected from the first disc. It's going to be hit or miss no matter who you are. There are people that don't mind newer era Mobb Deep, and I'd include myself in the camp. But I don't many, if any of us, listen to it as more than music hopefully got some decent production and a few dope lines here and there. I'm certainly not on the edge of my seat anymore, but I'm cool with that.

For that reason, I think it's very difficult to objectively rate their albums post Murda Muzik. Some people may prefer Amerikka's Nightmare, some might prefer Free Agents, or Infamy. Honestly I've seen their post MM albums arranged in every order imaginable. I assume the same will go for this album.

It's all equally impressive/unimpressive after 2000, so it's just what people's personal tastes are. So far I'm listening to the Infamous sessions, and haven't cracked into disc 1 that much. I might wait for the version with Snoop, LOX, etc.

lol yea i ran it thru the Bose's this morning

it was worth the release for the 94 stuff tho, just when i thought all their old material was out. full version of The Bridge and The Money 2nd version are crack, Eye for an Eye with GFK kinda reminds me of Shootouts from It Was Written

From the one-time car session I did, I can say that I already like this new album better than Blood Money and Black Cocaine. I think the question for me is where does it hold up among Free Agents, Nightmare, and Infamy.

I'll let people know if a version with Snoop, Lox, etc, drops, as well as the last 4 tracks.

Who is that? They had one of my favorite beats on this whole thing.
producer who's been doing his thing on the low for awhile now.. has a nice range, also..

myself, and others have posted alot of his work in The Lounge(the thread I've tagged you in a few times)..

I'm pretty sure it's the same sample. If not, it gave me the same exact vibe as well.

It's already better than infamy, Albert is making an attempt to rhyme words on here.

I've only listened to the first disk once, but i don't need any further listens to confirm it ain't fukkin with Free Agents ......that album was 2 disks of pure crack.
