Noyd's first EP is one of the most underrated releases of all time. I don't know if I've ever even seen it talked about on this board. Plus, for HOE fans, it was basically just a little sequel to that. Same time period, and P and/or Hav was on what...every song but the first one?

So like someone else posted earlier, the survival of the fittest remix is not the one that was previously released to vinyl. I played the record tonight and Hav's verse is a different recording and much longer. Hav's delivery doesn't sound as good on this version. Listening to this album really underscores the importance of delivery. You've got them delivering the same verses in slightly different ways and it can make a world of difference. That's why it kills me when certain posters talk about how the lyrics written on the paper is what makes you a lyricist. That's just the first step, then you gotta know how to deliver them and pick the right beat to put them over. Luckily we haven't seen those idiot posters in this thread.

i just cheated and checked the temperatures rising & survival of the fittest remixes and they are both 100% the ones i had in mind. So grateful to now have them in CDQ on my itunes. I actually prefer the temps rising remix to the original.


i need that third version though.

The first version of the Money - with that, I think, slowed down EPMD sample (what is that song - I know its super obvious but I can't think of the name)
This second disc is fukking amazing.
