Yeah, construction was Gravano's biggest money maker. Half of Donald Trump's buildings from NY to Atlantic City was probably built by mob owned construction companies, or companies tied into the mob to some degree:

Hist first ever bid was for an armored truck heist...him and one of his peoples noticed someone from the hood drove armored trucks...they convinced him to drop a bag off on a street corner in south philly, and joey went to pick it up and immediately went to go bury it on a farm near the Poconos and kept it all for himself There was almost 400 grand in that bag and his two co conspirators snitched on him and he got 3 years in prison......where he met Ralph Natale and formulated his plan to take over Philly.

Its been said the same day he got home, he disappeared and came back that same night covered entirely in dirt and he had bottles and cheesesteaks and pizza for everyone at his welcome home party
