I thought this was some mixed rules fight where mixed combat may have been allowed at some point.

I watch this guys videos but I'm surprised he had such a bad take on this situation. This does not prove MMA is superior form of combat and I'm someone who actually agrees that it is. In this situation all it proves is the guy who threw the head kick is a loser and should be blacklisted from any respected combat organization and probably arrested for endangering the boxer with that kick. I don't know why he was so thirsty to force this. He wouldn't give anyone brownie points for back of the head shots or low blows which would also be super effective ways to win a fight if they weren't against the rules.

And the Thai have been head kicking people into oblivion for centuries. Call one of them p*ssy see what happens. I've sparred many a boxer. They don't want leg kicks and when you choking them out they flop like fish.
I know what they’ve done.. probably the only kickboxing I like.

But some of you act like yall the only ones that ever slipped on gloves or earned belts.

And I have before called whoever I think acted like one… idc who you sparred. Ive sparred pros too. Point is, this is a SPORT. If you want to leg kick find a nikka that will oblige you in that SPORT.

You step in the boxing ring to BOX… if you can’t then gtfo and leave your comments about the sport at the door, because its seriously not for you.

And if you think leg kicking in a boxing match is cool, then how about knees to your groin or bites/chokes then? Or a knife so I can just stab your ass whenever you try to tackle because I know you not gonna do shyt else?

Not even going to watch, but terrible take

Shows how these MMA fanboys think. Dude was getting his ass kicked all over the ring by a kid sho honestly, wasn’t even that great of a boxer. He was wild and sloppy too

Still beating his ass all over that ring, and it wasn’t even the only MMA move he tried. He was missing other shyt too, kneeing, etc.

He had a point deducted then touched the mat out of exhaustion from all those bytch punches and got called for a knockdown and given a standing 8.

He was getting embarrassed and chose the easiest way out with some sort of dignity

A well trained boxer is beating 95% of the untrained population regardless of weight, and a well trained MMA fighter is beating 85% of boxers, all other things being equal.

This however was 100% a hoe move. If he wanna bring out kicks to a boxing match, I wouldn't be mad if he got hit with a bat or worse.

For some reason (and I take BJJ, Muay Thai and have a black belt in Tang Soo So and brown belt in TKD) fans of MMA have a very high level of sensitivity and insecurity about their sport.

Somehow boxing (despite CENTURIES of history) is not "real" fighting in their eyes. They think punching combos and head movement and defense is somehow "easy" but BJJ and MMA is the secret sauce. I've taken multiple styles and all have their plusses and minuses.

I think it has to do with the fact that boxing is much much much harder to get into than MMA. You can be average or start late in MMA and be successful but in boxing if you ain't shyt by 15 or an athletic freak like Joshua or Wilder at HW it's a wrap.

You can pickup MMA at 20 and be in the UFC by 25. So they take out that insecurity by shytting on boxing. Now all the dudes who got a blue belt think they can take on Terence Crawford or Beterbiev. They see the ex college football player in UFC and see themselves due to less barrier entry. Like a Dominic Reyes.

Add on to the fact that it pays nothing at the pro level it's their way of 'evening things out' when something like this occurs.

Even Joe Rogan had to dead that "boxing is easy" talk

Even DC admitted boxing is more dangerous
