its amazing a guy who has never lost and beat everyone over nearly a 15 year career is being called "ducking"
Jones has nothing to prove to anyone at this point

He is the GOAT martial artists.

Granted, he probably should either take the fight or retire at this point.

Also this.

Jones has killed everybody. He's in the GOAT convo. Put some respect on his name.

He's absolutely ducking him. If he thought he'd beat him the fight would be booked. Not saying he thinks he'll lose but on paper it doesn't seem to be a gimmie fight. That being said he is right to try to extract more money from the UFC.

It’s all showbiz, Jones doesn’t have any real contenders or potential youngsters can knock him off the throne, so they gotta hype one.

Now is Aspinal actually good enough to beat Jones?? That remains to be seen, but trust Jones is NOT ducking, he has zero reason to, he just knows the fight sells more playing this “cowardly heel” role, straight from the Vince McMahon playbook

Depends on what you consider ducking. He knows Tom's the best heavyweight option, but Jones wants money fights. Jones doesn't need Tom. His legacy is cemented, so why fight the riskiest opponent with the lowest return, even if he most likely wins?

Alex Pereira is a much bigger name, and can't wrestle for shyt. Jones is gonna demand a king's ransom to fight Aspinall (deservedly so), or he'll hold out and ask for the bigger money fight.

All I'm asking is that he relinquish the belt, so Tom can get going.
Its a Mayweather/Pacquio situation where Jon isn't afraid of Tom, but he wants fair money for the risk he is taking.
