Last night was a fun match to watch to the Benz. Not sure what Houston breh was on in the 7th minute to bump the ref...but that was a "them problem."

5-0 after we settled down and stopped the high crosses until we could pull them further out.

While it's always cool to see Josef get his goals, Miles Robinson and Darlington Nagbe have been the MVPs of the team this season. Gressel had a good match. Pereira was threatening all match on the left flank. Pity made an appearance and immediately was a problem for Houston. Parkhurst and Jeff L were solid. Actually, Parkhurst made several great runs where the passes should've been made, but weren't. Vazquez is....puzzling, but we got him on the pitch. I'll support.

Can't wait to have the squad back at full strength with Barco, Escobar, Villaba and Bello returning shortly. We really need them for DC United on Sunday.

And, oh yeah, Eff de Bore.

They restored he feeling.......................

I'm good with Frank right now actually
I think we're winning in spite of him. Last night was vintage ATL United, but we played one man up for 83+ mins of the match, against a sorry Houston side, except Demarcus B. We really needed a win like that.

Clearly, there's still a lot of frustration amongst the team (not just Pity), in spite of the wins and injuries.

I wouldn't say that. The players haven't exactly been lights out across the board when they had chances or in certain situations when they should have made it happen. I'm not saying he hasn't made mistake but so has the team and not solely based on his tactics IMO.

FDB came in and tried to change what was natural to the entire team.....ALL of them are playing tentative, which is 100% opposite of what won us the MLS title last season.

We won 3-0 today vs. LA Galaxy, but 2 own goals and 1 PK does not nor should not make anyone feel comfortable. We were 100% better than LA Galaxy and could barely get a shot on goal????? With the talent we have, that falls squarely on the manager. This game should've ended 7-0 at the minimum. LA Galaxy were no match talent-wise for us today.

If we don't win the MLS title this season, the blame falls squarely on FDB. While Bocanegra y Eales hired him, they have given him very good talent to supplement the existing team. FDB doesn't know what to do with them, and as a result, Atlanta United plays Dutch-style football, which make us look similar to existing MLS teams. By far, we have the most talented team in MLS, but we have a manager who cna't get out of the way.

Pity hasn't been great, but he also had 1 week to rest after a full South American schedule. FDB has no clue on how to manage that. Barco has the reigns of the team, after Almiron left. Barco, Pity and Josef should be allowed to play together and find their rhythm. FDB needs to stay out of that. Clearly, he has no clue on South American soccer-style. Press and attack soocer won us the MLS title.

FDB must go after the season. And if we do win the MLS title again, it will be in spite of him.

I think you are being a pretty unreasonable
with your logic.

The two own goals were all the result of build up play where they put them is bad spots and forced those mistakes. We had 7 shots on target and the they missed more than there fair share FDB can’t put the ball in the back of the net. There were at least 4 shots that were closely missed by the team that resulted from build-up or attacks. How is that the managers fault if the players don’t bury them?

In regards to letting the three DPs play together. When has FDB prevented that outside of rest?

They actually are playing closer to the playoff style than most realize. I could launch into the Miggy impact but I don’t have the energy.

As far as saying we have to win the MLS Cup or bust that’s kind of silly sitting here today. Anything can happen in the playoffs let alone a one game championship situation.

I get the frustration with FDB but honestly your points based on the game yesterday make little sense.

Pity had about the same amount of time as everyone else but he ended up in the Club World Cup since they won the Copa Libs. He just is struggling in year 1 like most of the straight from South American dudes do. Year 2, Pity will be elite.

I like what I see from Miles Robinson. He got legit class. I think his potential is through the roof. Carleton is coming together well, the talent has always been there. Hyndman got a lot of talent. I am glad to see him playing well after struggling in the EPL. Josef is back in form. Barco is back from injury. I expect a big run.
