This shyt was literally right outside of my building. All I had to do was walk outside. Took some pics from the roof of my building too, but that was before it started getting crowded so they kind of weak. I was supposed to be at work but I was out here turning up:manny:

Why do you think his ceiling is lower?
Almiron got the talent to be a good player on any squad. Even the Manchester United/Arsenal/Tottenham level. He is also younger, 23.

Pity is on the same with someone like Pulisic without anywhere near the potential. Pulisic has world class potential. Pity doesn't but Pity is crazy good. Better than Almiron when he joined but not as good as him right now.

Almiron is likely leaving for 25-35 million dollars. He is not suppose to be as good.

Makes sense, would you say he is more similar to Carlos Vela position wise?

I guess it's to be expected. Ultimately these types of signings are for long.......................

I know some of you are just ALT residents and just excited about your city winning something, but the ones who are United fans this isn't a good look for one of your young bright and up and coming players.

Word has it, he was on Snapchat party with that drank. How stupid do you go to be to do lean the day before the game much less at all :jawalrus:

Not the same scoring threat as Vela but a better playmaker and possession player. I would say he is on the same level with Vela. Better soccer IQ as well but Vela international reputation is great, Pity just raised his international profile yesterday with the big game v. Boca in the Libertadores. He is a star. Clearly a top tier player and gives us a top tier winger. Barco is a CAM, who like Almiron can cover ground.

He's only 18..... 18 yo's do stupid ish. We all did. Just horrible timing on this, for this kid's sake. Where the hell was his family and close friends tho?

Tata is teaching lessons while on the way out the door. This kid won't ever forget what he missed. Bad decision meet consequence.

Pity scored for River Plate and looked pretty good. He is not Almiron. He doesn't have that high of a ceiling but his floor is great. His game is nice. He is more of a winger than a straight 10 but he is fast, great dribbler, smart and really can pass. He will work extremely well with Barco who should be moving to the CAM spot.

I didn't see the River Plate v Boca Juniors match yesterday, but heard that Atlanta United was brought up a few times during the broadcast. From what I've read about Pity, he will be a better compliment to Josef, and Barco will benefit for him being there.

Barco was signed to replace Almiron. They knew what they were doing, and that he would need a year to adjust. Barco will be the box-to-box CAM that Almiron was on this team. Here's to hoping that a year of seasoning has matured him enough to comfortably wear that responsibility.

You're looking at a lineup something like this

Pity - Josef
Garza-Gressel-Barco-Escobar
Remidi-Nagbe
LGP-Parkhurst-Big Red
Guzan

Poor Villaba....

Bench: Villaba - Carleton - M. Robinson - George Bello - J. Hernandez - B. Vasquez....Kann...R. Williams

Was pretty high on him the last couple years, but him trying to break through to the first team and playing with all the other quality players ahead of him was going to be hard. He's looked good while playing for the USA youth team, but wasn't as impressed with him when he played for the 2nd team.

Seems like he's feeling himself a little too much with the hype. Hope this situation is an eye opener for him. Might be one of those kids who needs to leave home to succeed. Might have some close friends who are going to hold him back.

Freddy Adu syndrome. Freak talent but loves partying, hoes and drugs too much.

The former coach of Argentina should get it. He has had the most success at club and country level when he can put everything together. Schletto needs more experience
