MLK saw the future.
Breh died so we could buy Versace
Breh died so we could buy Versace
The most painful part is that in 2017 nikkas are still marching.
I brought this up to my Grandmother this past MLK day because I said people like Fred Shuttlesworlth did more for the culture and she almost smacked the fire out of me. She told me MLK played the perfect hand he was dealt. He was 1/3 planning 1/3 action 1/3 sacrifice whereas going full steam ahead with any of those motives would have been instant failure. We must always salute MLK so he's not forgottenThe education system shaped the image of the non-violent, non-confrontational, kumbya marcher instead of the shrewd, sophisticated, fierce political figure that we see him as today
They made him seem so helpless, especially in contrast to how they used to teach us about Robert E. Lee and the rest of those cac heroes (Im from South Carolina, so the Confederates are lowkey painted as sympathetic figures in schools )
When I was younger, I started tuning out during Black History month at school because he was the only topic and I was turned off because it was like, "They're throwing bricks, fight back!!! "
I appreciate him way more as an adult after doing my due diligence
presently he would be a "sell out".Man said he didn't have a Martyr complex.......and didn't want to die for this shyt............
presently he would be a "sell out".
MLK was fed up ...he knew them cacs wasn't gonna let up
he knew marching wasn't the answer
He was Breh! Y'all need to stop changing the storyThe education system shaped the image of the non-violent, non-confrontational, kumbya marcher instead of the shrewd, sophisticated, fierce political figure that we see him as today

Negro please! For all the damage he's done all through his years, two years before he died he wanna be " radical " now? He should been that way day one
He was becoming more and more radical and dipping his hand into other issues like Vietnam and equal wage rights........this is why I think they killed him. They used him to pacify our race, to demand rights but not to use violent tactics to get them. And as soon as they saw that the load was too much to carry because they allowed their demon offspring to basically brutalize us non stop, they saw they had to take him out because of the power he held.
@alpo knock it off.
that's the same thing as it wouldn't work...if it wasn't happening in a decade, it wasn't gonna happen at all. Exactly why blacks look foolish today, and add on how folks love acting ignorant on camera when these things happenI don't think that was it. I think he realized that it wasn't enough. And the results would not be enough for immediate change that needed to take place. But 50 years later I think he would be seen as a God. You have to really take into account the state of the black race back then. It was NOTHING like it is today......
he realized marching wasn't gonna make white people do shyt for blacks....so he went after poor whites, and was uniting them with blacks. That's when they took him out. As much as we talk about how America/system fukks over blacks (they do).....they also paint this illusion to poor whites that they are superior to blacks just because they're white. Take a step back and think how it truly is, but it's true.
shyt, I'm like "fukk all cacs" but poor whites/blacks aligning is peak problematic to rich cas in this country. It'll never happen, but blacks focusing on self improvement to create collective success would still do a lot for us.
Crazy there was a point in this country that blacks were doing so well in some areas that cacs had to come in and destroy the communities we need those days back
