Who is a perfect man? What is the definition for perfection? :manny:

No one is perfect. The issue happens when you begin to teach children (in school and at home) that certain historical figures (not just MLK) were saintly or were of exceptional character. People should focus on teaching about the great things that historical figures did, and why they did it, instead of trying to paint them as perfect (and this won't be as much of an issue).

According to the average black Obama voter MLK was

I definitely don't agree with that. But people do defend him to the ends of the earth but that's because as noted before, the feds and cia did everything they could to discredit that man's work. That generally goes for all black leaders. Don't get me wrong, white leaders get it too but any black leader back then was given the full surveillance treatment. It wasn't based on cause. It was done to lower morale. So that's why black people did and will stick behind their leaders, sometimes to a fault.

That's a very short sighted view in terms of what those men and women fought for. I bet the percentage of white women chasers are in the single digits but it's whatever

Bruh...growing up MLK was a saint..not diminishing what his impact was and is ....but I just remember being a kid in school and the picture that was painted of this dude.

It hard to have a convo with critique with any black leader these days
