I wouldn't offer Carlos Correa 300M+
Yes, he's better than Francisco Lindor. But Lindor's contract was obscene to begin with.

Correa is a very, very good player. But he's not a perennial MVP type player in my mind. I suppose you have to overpay somewhat to get him.
He's probably in the range of 27M per year. Maybe 7 years. So 189M. Let's call it 200M.....250M if someone gets desperate but that's too much for me.

I wonder if this is start of a negotiation phrase or more of a we tried. Crane has shown not to go over 5 years from the Lance/Altuve and Bregman extensions.

Most I would offer is 7/210.10 year deals never pan out

Anthony Rendon got 7/$245 million; Machado got 10/$300 million. Someone's giving Correa a ridiculous contract. Too many of these baseball front offices are run by bozos.

As a Tigers fan, I'd have no problem with overpaying Correa. They gotta start somewhere and it's not my money.

Correa's the only one I want. He can rake and he's ungodly in the field; WAY better than Seager in the field.

Story plays at Coors. Look at Arenado's offensive drop-off once he left. I'm always out on those guys and Story didn't even rake this season.
