freestyling was big on mixtapes way back in the 80's.. Jampony mixtapes, were basically what folks do now.. take a track, and add their own twist to it..

with that said.. cant believe folks in here complaining about free music.. :snoop: pathetic..

I know a little about Jam Pony from when I first got to Florida. but that was kinda another scene all together from hip-hop. I remember I used to go to those booty-bass clubs, the DJ would thrown on some NY or Cali hip-hop, and the dance floor would clear :heh:

when I think of a 'mixtape' I think of a dj and his records. I remember that Funk Flex 60 Minutes of Funk said in so many words:

This mix tape was done in one non-stop take, no editing and no 4 tracks

It's funny how everyone forgot what the concept of a mix tape is supposed to be and just expects a free retail style album every time...


Rappers have spoiled the fans....

Whether you like him or not Drake changed the way we look at mixtapes today.
