I was thinking about the same after I posted. He would have to pull off some pretty spectacular feats as senator and move the party well back towards the center which wouldn't be easy tasks.

I think there are people on the right who would like to see that(or a similar person to Mitt)but I don't think they have the numbers anymore.

honestly, if romney runs now against anybody, he'll become president. he was never going to win against obama because every black person, and non white voter came out in droves to get him in the white house. they were invested in it. those same people wont be coming out in droves if the election is between two white men. or maybe they will but this time to get the racist out.
