She wouldn’t even say anything. And I looked at it. We had lost by 61 points. I just started crying. I just started crying. I’m like, “Man, ain’t no way.”

Above the fray.
Talk about some bullshyt. Don Nelson traded Mitch for Billy Owens who was Lamar Odom before Lamar Odom :pachaha:

He was one of those players that never fulfilled expectations he always just teased you

He thought Billy Owens was gonna take the Warriors to the next level
Heavily hyped, but never saw anything special about Owens.

I saw it in Odom.

It’s fukking Amazing that u have organizations like Sacramento, Detroit Lions, Baltimore Orioles, Cincinnati Reds that just doesn’t care about winning at all and just happy to be owners … how about give minority owners the opportunity to buy those franchises and put a competitive product on the court/field

1. This nikka up top looks like if Tyrese and DaBaby had a baby

2. Being from Sac I was never a Kings fan and I’m happy I wasn’t. shyt always had that hopeless gloomy energy.

3. If that shady ass mafia referee didnt fix games, the Kings woulda slapped the Lakers and won a chip :wow:

Yeah Odom was better and he showed you flashes of brilliance but could never really sustain it..

Billy was like that too coming out of HS in 88 and was nasty at Syracuse when they had a CREW. He was 6’9 and could handle and play multiple positions

Billy Owens
Derrick Coleman
Stevie Thompson
Matt Roe
Conrad McRae- Brooklyn Tech R.I.P
Adrian Autry- Tolentine High school in the Bronx :steviej:

What was his contract situation like where he had to spend 7 seasons there?

6 year, $19M deal.

He got upset with it in 1996.

The Wizards signed him to a 3 year $30M deal in 1999 after the lockout season. They had no choice since they traded Webber for him. Just terrible. They also traded Ben Wallace to Orlando for Ike Austin :laff:

Poverty franchise.

I totally forgot the warriors had mitch with a young chris mullin and tim hardaway.

that said, mitch richmond became synonymous with the kings. plus it all worked out at the end. he put up numbers on the kings, made all star games and then got traded to the lakers just in time to get a ring :obama:

to keep it funky, his years with the kings is what got him in the HOF and his jersey retired.
Richmond was a beast from jump in the NBA.
He was top 10 in scoring the season before he was traded to Sacramento, it wasn't like he was underutilized by the Warriors at all or he only broke out after being traded

Warriors had one of the best cores in the entire league and broke it up cause Don Nelson wasn't nearly as smart as he thought he was

Sacramento’s losing has transcended owners, coaches and players.

I don’t think “transcended” is the right word here. Perhaps “spanned”.

Richmond not cutting his hair is a telling example of the attitude. Buddy Hield

Bruh right here I legit thought they were gonna say “Buddy Hield didn’t cut his nappy chit either” ROFL

I think I understand why he did it, doe.

Billy Owens is the kind of player (or at least people thought he would be the kind of player) that we have more of today -
a Face-Up Stretch 4 Inside-Outside Scorer. Being Fair - Billy kind of was that, he had decent scoring numbers…but he was slower than that GS offense, soft in the post, and didn’t play defense.

But Don loves those type of players historically. That’s why he traded Penny for C-Webb on Draft Day -
then drafted Joe Smith with the #1 pick right after that.

He got his wish with Dirk. He had wanted a Dirk to coach his whole life.
