Had the same issue. Main reason I haven't seen the movie yet.

Look breh. I thought The Rock was going to show up after the earthquakes and shyt. I also didn’t watch the trailers which is why I never saw it in the theaters. The movie wasn’t that bad so I just kept watching. That hippo scene made me watch the reviews from people that downloaded the same file. But by that time I had watched over half the movie so I said fukk it and kept watching.

But OP...how u keep watching and not seeTom Hardy/cillian murphy at all and think it was the right flick?

I'm not the type of person to really keep up with actors unless it's a mega star like Denzel, Tom Hanks, etc... folks on that level. All I knew about this shyt was that it was a war movie by Nolan. I kept thinking the big set pieces were coming up later and if you watch that piece of shyt movie it definitely leads you to believe so. It reached a certain point where I just stopped caring and it became background noise while I played mobile games.
