You still have lowkey prejudice and racism, but it’s not out in the open outside of the Mississippi flag or Trump signs. I experienced two notable incidents of racism during my high school years there, but none since that I can think of.
It’s a nice, peaceful town to live in, but the Mississippi flag flying everywhere let’s you know people’s true feelings deep down.
have you ever visited any small black towns in Mississippi like Itta Bena or Lorman? how is Jackson?
