North Mississippi for me around the exact few places you mentioned in your previous post, but work in TN. The Mississippi flag is rampant around here.

There’s even a neighbor down the street with a Trump banner outside their house :francis:

I live in Arlington, TN right now.

I was almost tempted to buy a condo in Olive Branch but I just couldn't live in a state with that flag flying.

I grew up and went to school there. You’re not missing much at all. It’s a rather racist town with the flag flying high and proud especially outside the courthouse. I wouldn’t send my kids to schools there either as it’s been well known that they are harder discipline wise on black kids than they are whites.

They are going to try and half-ass it by just only removing the confederate emblem rather than changing the entire flag itself.

Real talk.

How is it now with the growing Black population?

You still have lowkey prejudice and racism, but it’s not out in the open outside of the Mississippi flag or Trump signs. I experienced two notable incidents of racism during my high school years there, but none since that I can think of.

It’s a nice, peaceful town to live in, but the Mississippi flag flying everywhere let’s you know people’s true feelings deep down.
