Basically, The former contestant, Chidimma Adetshina is not an ethnic South African. Her father is Nigerian and her mother is Mozambican. Chidimma Adetshina has been harassed due to her ethnic heritage by South Africans. And now, allegedly, her mother committed fraud and lied about being South African. So Chidimma has dropped out of the pageant

My take.
I get that every country has a right to police their borders, control immigration and let in whoever they want. And just because one is 'Black' doesn't mean you should be invited into other 'Black' countries as if all black people are the same phenotypically and culturally. However, this level of xenophobia exhibited by Black South Africans against other SSA peoples in their country is downright disgusting.
The main issue is this... It doesn't matter. What do I mean? Simple. It doesn't matter whether Chidimma Adetshina is an ethnic South African or not. According to South African law, if you're born and raised there and got all the official paperwork and whatnot then you're South African (in a national sense). It also doesn't matter about Chidimma's mother's alleged crime. Chidimma isn't her mother and she's not responsible for her mother's actions.
