More than likely a lot more than that, america was one of the leading illegal slave importers , a lot of their voyages that brought hundreds of slaves per boat were off the record, even after 1865 all the way up until 1890 were they bringing slaves overOnly 370k to America?
The number is probably higher tho. I know my ancestors got off at the west indies but were transported to Louisiana after.
with the introduction to sugar, many slaves were brought up from brazil, and other places to deal with the demand, that is why there are so many of us here, some came straight from africa many were brought up from the carribean etc
