The protest isn't about this one incident. We need legislation to not only root out these cops but punish them severely.

Then you need government officials to back this up. That’s the only way something like that will happen. Even then it would be a long, rough road.

Cops are in jail. It’s gonna be some time for proper prosecution and court dates To happen. What more can people protest? These senseless killings/incidents are still going on from the cops (see the stickies) and they won’t stop.

1st degree murder requires premeditation. Unless you are alleging that the cops orchestrated the call by the deli workers that got them to the scene, I don’t see how you can make a case for 1st degree. No point yelling at the sky with unrealistic expectations. The focus now needs to be on convictions.

2nd degree is appropriate. He is a trained professional who knows what results from digging your knee into someone’s neck like that. And the fact that he maintained that position for several minutes after Floyd stopped moving and talking definitely indicates that he intended to kill him with that action.
