The only joke is your stupidity in thinking that you are proving anything-Defining the Difference Between Tort and Civil Law
What is Tort Law?
Tort law is the largest area of civil law. The purpose of tort law is to determine whether or not an individual should be held legally accountable for the injury of another person. Tort law is also used to determine whether or not an individual should be compensated for his or her injuries and how much money is owed.
Some lawyer you are.
Maybe you should redirect all that energy you use projecting your personal incompetence on crump and instead study law more.
tort law addresses private wrongs and has a central purpose of compensating the victim rather than punishing the wrongdoer. Some acts may provide a basis for both tort and criminal liability. For example, gross negligence that endangers the lives of others may simultaneously be a tort and a crime.
Can Someone Go to Prison If They Are Found Liable in a Torts Case?
No. Tort cases are not criminal cases. This means that the defendant in a tort case cannot face a prison sentence for their liability. Instead, the judge typically orders the defendant to pay damages, or money, to the plaintiff.
There is no motivation to strictly punish the wrongful act unlike civil matters which involves personal accountability - TORT involves the act of OMISSION rather than COMMISSION. It is not the same- admit you were wrong and stfu while we actually discuss the matter of hand. “Bbbbuttt civil law has nothing to do with criminal law” - I just cancelled out both of your arguments and position points in this thread in less than 10 seconds. Go be productive and go back to grabbing your mop - you missed a spot.
