i think the anti minimum wage argument has some validity to it, but i disagree that its that big of an impact that it has to be eliminated, i think the minimum wage has to be huge before you start seeing the negative effects predicted, there are other factors effecting unemployment, black or otherwise

Its about trade offs
Not one side getting its way, as is becoming the norm 
I'd gladly increase the safety nets in exchange for a repeal of minimum wage, and a flat tax beyond the poverty line.

You need to work to benefit from the safety net in a lot of ways like unemployment Medicare, and SS.
Why can I not voluntarily opt out of this crap?
And there would not need to be a minimum wage if costs were not so inflated.
