fukk graphics

dudes shoul dbe forced to go back to 8 bit and actually make movements and actions run flawlessly

ya the character will look real but when he starts moving he slides across the map and he's hovering off the ground...how is that a better look?

 fukk square. They stay treating fans like shyt. We got Final fantasy XIII and then a Final Fantasy XIII spinoff and Final fantasy Versus is STILL not out yet :rudy:

Yeah that shyt looks hot, but it won't matter if we never get to play a final fantasy game that looks like that and is good. I played through all of final fantasy XIII. Easy last boss fight, boring ass characters, weak ass battle system and shytty side quests :pacspit: @ modern day square-enix

Fukk the graphics, Final Fantasy has always been a step ahead, ever since the PS1 days, I want the solid gameplay back and a coherent story.

The regression of the Final Fantasy series is one of the reasons that people dont care about JRPGs anymore. Yeah there are a few others out there, but FF was a big dog that used to put others on to the genre. Because if its failures the last few years, everyone suffers.

The whole idea of going linear is a slap to our faces here in the Western Hemisphere. The team behind FF13 felt that we lack the attention spans to stay interested in their games so they dumbed the shyt down.

Fukk Square....havent played anything they have made since FF12.....and wont till they smarten the fukk up

I stopped at 12 too. The fighting system was bearable (although I still think it was a cheap MMO rip-off) but the characters and story were
Only thing I liked was the stupid amount of sidequests

Last FF I really enjoyed was 10, even with all it's linearity.

Also, am I the only one who still loves turn-based combat?

Thats what im saying, they had the formula and for some odd reason decided to completely abandon it. Even though 10 was linear i enjoyed it because it was still turn based and you could actually see the turns on the screen and how your moves could change whose turn it was.

I dont know why they went away from what worked and started giving us bullshyt.

Man nothing wrong with the turn based combat but c'mon.... going back to it would honestly be taking a step back. There has got to be a way they can create a better system with this free roam type battle system.

Hell the only thing I basically played the games for was the battle systems and the shytty story lines. My biggest problem with the games is how bytch assed and feminine the male characters are, its like c'mon man yall can't make dude look like a man? Like give me a action hero or somethin, but that's just there style at this point I guess. Its like they take the dudes and give them softness and take the women and give them a hardness.

Them graphics though.... :takedat:

turn-based combat is garbage

i can't wait til they create FF games that don't play like that

The only FF I could stand was Tactics and that's because it wasn't like the typical turn-based jawn. It's 2012, i want to see my character fukk nikkas up cos I pulled off a combo not cos I pressed "attack" :beli:

This doesn't really impress me that much. That is all CGI. Gameplay ain't gonna look like that. The new Splinter Cell is killin Square engine this Gen.. I won't be surprised when they start firing people when th next FF flops.

But see if Square was smart they would keep the turn based system in Final Fantasy and create another franchise for the real time stuff. What they are doing now is not pleasing anyone.

Why go away from what made you successful in the first place?

Yeah....thats one of the reasons I think I enjoyed 12 as much as I did. All the side quests/hunts kept me going for hours. As far as character development goes...yeah it was poorly done. Only characters I found interesting were Basch, Balthier, and Judge Gabranth......everyone else sucked (Vaan= biggest p*ssy in a FF game)

I will say that 12 did look good and the terrain did feel big. It wasn't so much a "fantasy" game though. It felt more like a political struggle between two nations.....there wasnt anything really sci-fi/fantasy/over the top, and thats where I think it suffered.
