I think there would be some general disappointment because he's been here from the jump, is part of the city's identity and universally beloved. But only a casual or newjack fan would be truly resentful if he left. Real fans (especially if you've watched previous eras) know better.

Witnessing a title in person in a new arena in a new district built around the Bucks (and specifically, Giannis) is some shyt I would've never conjured up while watching Lee Mayberry and Sherman Douglas run point.

Yea Stotts was probably angling for the job and it was disrespectful of him to ignore Griff. But u don’t scream and embarrass your co worker in front of the team. shyt immediately cause tension and throws off the harmony and balance of the staff. If you present that to the players they are quickly gonna lose respect for you.

He should have pulled Stotts aside and checked him privately. As wrong as Stotts was he still commands a level of respect since he has 30+ years in the game as a coach. You can’t just scold him like he was some kid…especially when he was the Damn offensive coordinator and had such a familiarity with Dame.

That shyt was really the start of the ending for Griffin because Stotts leaving really threw the team off and set them back.

tbf the rumor was that Stotts waved him off, so he kinda forced AG to check him in front of everyone.
