Oh no I'm not questioning why it's news or why people are pissed. I'm just saying that it's not surprising at all. It is like when John Rocker was made into a spectacle for voicing views that are pretty common among baseball players. Everyone acted shocked and condemned Rocker but ignored all of the other players just like him.
Josh Hader is nothing compared to what else could be found if we look at more twitters, MySpace's etc. I know people who played pro and its a mystery to me how there aren't more guys getting in fights. Some of these guys sign a contract and report to spring training and its literally the first time they've been around people who aren't white and they have all the ignorance that comes along with that. It changes a little bit as guys get more exposure but in rookie ball, the social groups are almost entirely segregated.

I wouldn't say its most but I think a very good number of baseball players hate big city public transportation for the same reasons Rocker listed. The difference is Rocker said it publicly.
The areas of the US that produce the most pro baseball players are areas that are highly conservative and have very little diversity.
