Damn what a Coincidence I also feel the same way I wish I was Gen x or an early millenial 82 or 83. I convinced that it's mainly western folks that be in this weirdness, when I was in Angola I saw plenty of millennials and gen z out and about being normal it was refreshing to see. Hopefully if things go right I got three trips this year New York(April or May), Tokyo(August) and Curitiba, Brazil(October)
Being 20 in the 80s in LA or MIA woulda been the shyt. Bought a Vice fit a couple months ago and my dad still clowns me for it.

Lol. Being broke is no excuse

We used to be outside and play ball, talk to girls, joke around, all types of shyt.

Parties would happen organically from just being around others.

These millenials don't even know how to have a conversation. It ain't money stopping them. They're awkward anti social cowards.

If you were born in the 80s you're a millenial too.

I see more and more bars popping up in NYC
There is definitely still a club scene, but a lot of people just go out to various types of bars

Local Bartender Brings to Light Bushwick's Millennial Alcoholism Through Short Film

This article mentions how there are so many bars in Bushwick and how it's a part of the exessive milennial drinking culture over there (and I'm sure you could apply the same thing to any city neighborhood with a lot of young people).

I'm all partied out... I'm 29. I spent 18 through 25 snorting, drinking, and popping whatever I could during college and then the next two years out of college doing the same thing while working :mjlol:

Then it hit me a few years ago at 26, that it just wasn't fun anymore. Also if I binge drink that is a direct trigger to do hard drugs for me

In the evenings the only thing that will bring me out is a live music or comedy show. Other than that, I refuse to give my money to these establishments just because I'm "supposed" to go out.

Im happy playing with my puppy, reading, playing video games, suck on my girls ass hole, cooking, etc.

I was born in the wrong generation. Everything about my gen is weird. Which is why for now on when I'm in the states I'm just grinding/building/making my money. Thats what America is for to me. Building. Vacations is where I have my REAL fun. Which is why I now do two vacations a year. Got one in June for Colombia(again) and then the real run come September in South Africa.

And I agree with the bolded. I'm the same way.
Do you live elsewhere now? Elaborate on this point for me

Bruh,

You out with your boys or whatever...hell, it could be your own family...and someone will pull out a phone to photograph their dinner or take a selfie at the bar, and you're just like....nah man. Put that shyt away, fool. :rudy:

We took pics back in the day, but it wasn't every 15 minutes. If anything it makes the photos we DO have way more special. You look at these kids' phones now and it's thousands of pics and videos.
When every moment is a photo, nothing is special. Nothing stands out. Nothing is memorable.

So far no lies have been posted in this thread. :ehh:

"A night out" has gotten too expensive and social media/netflix/weed is always poppin

The biggest change from my 20s to my 30s has been trading alcohol for marijuana. When I was drinking more I was going out twice or three times a week. Now that I'm blazing more I don't need to see anyone

Big facts. I save too much bread since I stopped drinking, not to mention I feel better too. I can smoke a whole 8th and wake up the next morning and feel fine. Drink a 5th of Henny now and I'd be sick all day the next day.
