I really don't see the issue with this law, after all, I have little doubt Christians would shyt a brick if Muslims or atheists were going around promoting their views in the military. Let's not be hypocrites here.

But that said, court marshaling does seem a bit much, kicking people out of the service for this type of thing seems adequate IMO.

Smart move on the military part. Solider loyalty should be to whoever they are serving.

Why does proselyzing have no place in the military?

Because there are adequate channels for religion- there are chaplains for every faith, etc. Creating needless division and antagonism by trying to convert other people instead of respecting everyone's faiths (trying to convert someone is an automatic disrespect towards their faith, no matter how you look at it) adds more tension to an already tense environment in which those divisions can easily become toxic. Again, no one is saying soldiers can't profess their faiths openly or even talk to each other about them. But chaplains aren't missionaries (nor should they be, since they work for the government,) and soldiers shouldn't be, either. If you want to be a missionary, then go do missionary work. That's not what the military is for.

Just say you hate religion and religious people. Stop with all the long winded diatribes and verbiage.

Why would I say that? I don't hate religion or religious people. And this isn't an anti-religion idea. It's about respecting all the different faiths along with the nonreligious (who aren't allowed to proselytize atheism or whatever, either.)
