We got E-7's and E-8's on the coli :leon:...Good stuff. I always bust these dudes ass when they say dumb shyt. I don't care if it's about blacks or not. I always speak up. These dudes know I don't play that stuff. I would report that CSM or I would have told him off right then and there. I have zero bearing. If you an @sshole I'm going to treat you like one. That rank shyt is irrelevant.

Well the thing is I know I don't have to deal with him like that and we've had words a few times already. And honestly I've been putting up with this BS so long in Combat Arm units that it's the Norm. As long as it doesn't trickle down to the joes or he shows favoritism on the promotion board than its just a personality conflict.

And there is always a way to handle a situation. Me flying off the hook is what they'd expect. I've come to far to even put up with that.

For me it's not flying off the hook, it's just the principle. I black out when stuff like that happens. My career, etc irrelevant. I lets these guys know from day 1, I'm here to get the job done and ride out. I don't want to come to your house and eat your wife's shytty cooking and I ain't your friend. My tolerance for racism is non-existent. But I hate combat arms. That culture of being the dumbest motherfukker possible is invited and supported. It's like a pissing contest into who can be more ignorant than the next. I've done work in their AO and it's

My Dudes I have been in the military going on 12 years and let me tell you something. You know how racisim is starting to become more blatant in the media. Man this shyt is becoming more off the hook now a days. It seems that the younger generation is ok with allowing whites to call them blatant terms like N_igga and so on.

Brehs did you expierence racisim? I just saw this group of Soldiers talking and the white dude called a Black Soldier the N-word and didn't say anything. So I went over there and went HAM. Tell me why the CSM told me that since "YOU People Say It" it shouldn't be no problem with him saying it. I say he can say it but he better be prepared for the repurcussions.

The Damn CSM says "What if I say It" I tell him "He needs to be prepared for the repurcussions". This dude proceeds to tell me that I'm street and that I am a bad influence to the Soldiers in the unit. Smdh.

fukk is Street. Did he just call me what I think he did. I think I may need to go to the IG and Higher level EO....I am also the EO for the unit.

Take that cac down! shyt like that don't fly breh. We had a C.O. get fired bc of dumb shyt like that.

Army Spc. Been in 3 1/2 years Active Duty, currently ETSing and clearing. As far as racism is concerned I didn't experience any direct racism UNTIL I deployed to Afghanistan, that's when these Cacs started losing their damn minds and thinking we were back in 1800's and they could tell us any old thing because they had hire rank and they could speak to us however they wanted. Me and my homeboy were both the only two cooks on the FOB (small little outpost called Pul-YE-Lam) and these Cacs expected a top dining experience DESPITE the fact that our kitchen equipment was substandard. I had an oven that wasn't calibrated, A grill that barely worked, broken refrigerators, gas powered stoves that wouldn't light, etc. NONE of these Cacs understood this, even when we showed them our fukked up equipment, they expected us to "make it work:stopitslime:"

We were both black males, in our 20's, and E4, for me it was my first deployment, for my homeboy his second. NEITHER of us were in the mood for c00ning, which created hostile relations amongst the leadership when we told them basically to fukk off and the food was going to be what it was. We had them Cacs trying to serve us with Article-15's and all sorts of shyt, even our direct leadership back on Fob Shank abandoned us, shyt got real tense for a minute.
I don't know what it is a bout a deployment that brings out the "realness" in people. I guess it's because you see their asses so much and can't get away from them. The only time I've ever had issues with some redneck, and one Mexican that favored all the Latinos, was during deployment.

That's it right there. This generation grew up with a Black President being the norm and slavery and civil rights was some blah blah blah shyt in the history books. They didnt grow up with racism and half the time they wouldnt know it if they saw it. Now adays you'd turn more heads by calling someone a faggit than calling them a nikka :manny:
Sad to say, I think this shyt started with my generation, the folks in their late 20's and early 30's now. I had a few white friends, and they knew to never say that shyt because I never said it myself. But I remember going off on some white dude in high school because when I told him to stop saying that shyt around me, he said some shyt like "You're not proud of your heritage, you're not really black." He even had some c00n ass dudes co-signing that bullshyt. Another one of my boys, black and Latino mixed dude, had a white homie who said that shyt constantly and he'd give him a pass. We also had them dudes that would get mad if a whiteboy said nikka, but would let a latino or any race of female say that shyt all day with no fukks given. shyt's only gotten worse since then

They're the worst ones, usually full of hicks and whatnot, especially in the infantry. I'm attached to an infantry battalion for this deployment, and my first unit ever was an infantry unit. I got into it with some dumb ass LT over Trayvon Martin and how I didn't like his dumb ass Skittles and iced tea jokes. Surprised I didn't get UCMJ, because I really lost my temper. Think they were too scared to do anything, lol. I'm usually really quiet around them and real laid back, not to mention I'm a lot bigger than everyone in this platoon and I was pissed.

former soldier did 8 years in the army

My ncoic was racist this dude would have me and the other black ghana guy always doing the fukking on call for dental emergencies but not the other 2 white people even though we all were the same rank. so i approached the ncoic and said permission too speak freely he let me i still kept it tactful and was basically saying why are we the only 2 guys doing and he said cuz WE PEOPLE CAUSE PROBLEMS AT NIGHT FOR OTHER PEOPLE IN THIS LINE OF WORK. i was like we people you mean black people he said yes and he was like u rather me drop the N word i said i no but if you do u will regret it and he was like I'm a SFC i can do what i want BOY. so i go too IG and they did nothing but said well investigate which they half assed did and cuz of that he made the other ghana guy stop doing it and made us all do the ON CALL but here was the catch i would get it every other week and then he gave me guard duty also with it and 24 hr cq at times :snoop:

one day cuz of doing all that the weather being cold i got real sick and got the pneumonia but the walking version. so i got quarters and gave it too the person under my ncoic since he wasn't their at the time due too a meeting. this damn ncoic called me up too go see him and i was like i have quarters nor do i have a car so he told me too walk in that cold weather too see him

i go see him and he wanted too verify if i was faking it till my ass passed out on the floor in front of him they call for help and send me too the clinic and my doc talks too me and said what happened and y was i there i told him y and said how he is racist since he is a white doctor and his wife is asian cuz she was another doc in the clinic that i knew who liked me as a patient

this doc who was a col ripped my ncoic new one and IG and the next thing i know i got a new ncoic within 2 weeks :whew:
