slight swerve, but I don't know how you are supposed to age in hip hop culture.

If your not Combs or Jay Z, are you supposed to keep in character in your 40's?

Eminem has stayed in character, and look how looney he looks with a beard or his hair died. I remember seeing Big Daddy Kane perform like 5 years ago and I was like, this dude look like a pastor now...but I appreciated that he looked grown up and age appropriate.

Its the same with these old metal heads. Like, once you tattoo yourself up and wear chains and leather for 10-20 years, are you keeping it real if you stay like that? Are you a sell out if you clean your act up?

:jbhmm:
off the top of my head a good example would be funk flex. I'm not a fan of dude or anything but he's at least been himself this whole time.

You don’t keep up the constume, by making timeless and consistent music, you develop a mature persona. The brashness of yesteryear doesn’t have to necessarily continue.
Big Boi and Andre managed to age well, as did Ludacris and Bun B. The Wu-Tang Clan as well. The goal is to just not be cartoonish.

They always go home.

For all the shyt he gets, ol' boy who posted it is right. Only Eminem hasn't made some drastic change and went all proper cac style.

I don't know if that says anything about his character or anything; but white America probably wouldn't accept eminem anyway. He has shytted on them and burned that bridge so badly and repeatedly that I don't think that shyt would work for him anyway.

Can’t be mad at these culture vultures, they don’t have to break in when these sell outs roll out the red carpet for them.

When Justin Timberfake dropped “Like I Love You.” And he had the black girl in his video, I told my crew “watch... he won’t ever have another black girl in his video again”:russ:. I was barely fresh into highschool and I could see how contrived that shyt was.

All these dumb hos were like “oh my, Justin loves him some chocolate.” Now he’s trying to go country. :mjlol:

Eminem is a talented rap artist who came up as a battle rapper. It's not a facade. Hes a vocal killer and grew up in the gutter. Back then most rappers had to be killers on the mic and no way Em was gonna come in faking the funk and not get slaughtered.

Post Malone, Cyrus and these other imbeciles did it for money and hip hop is so shytty, full of clowns (Migos, 21 savage) and watered down nowadays that anyone can make regardless of how much lyrical ability you have.

I just hope all of em get got or take a one way opioid cruise.

She will go back to the ratchet shyt in due time. Women like her just can't stay away for long. Reminds me of Madonna. Not saying she's on Madonna's level, but just her vibe reminds me of a ratchet Madonna. Or even Mariah Carey. Mariah tried to marry white several times, always came back home :blessed: Granted Mariah is black but :yeshrug:
