Yeah, it's not like saying you want to do something that "feels Black" and that you feel a connection with "the hood," and then surrounding yourself with Black entourage, dancers, and musicians while acting out outlandish stereotypes/the worst elements of "Black" culture while bearing none of the responsibility of Black life is racist at all, right? I mean, when Black people criticized minstrel shows, they were just jealous and didn't want white people to be able to sing and dance like them, right? In a way, Black people were the real oppressors all along, right? Right?
:banderas: I love when someone posts exactly what I was about to say before I say it.

Thats all i wanted to know. Charlemagne is a joker and a troll, and a crude fellow, but that didn't seem like self hate to me. Thanks for your input.
He doesn't have self-hate but he says a lot of ignorant shyt that turns people off. Like that time he said he understood racial profiling because he read some stat said black people commit 90% of the crimes or some nonsense. Basically, he has good common sense, but it's limited and he often relies upon stereotypes or simplistic framing to get his point across. To his credit, it's also why he is popular. But it's not self-hate, it's ignorantly framed. But any black person from anywhere near the city who made anything of his self who never had to cut people off is lying. The problem is he runs with the media narrative that Lil' Twist and urban culture and basically "black people" are the problem and are the route of Beiber's problems. It's the automatic assumption with absence of evidence that can cause some people to believe he's c00ning here.

He's embracing that narrative.

P.S. Cats are really coming into the game still calling themselves "Lil" something :snoop:

@Kool G Trap

Im not sure what Charlemagne video you are referencing but Charlegmange general speaks as a c00n.

"God and the white man has a plan for me"
"I don't associate with nikkas after 5PM"
"I do business with white people only"

ect.

These are real quotes from him (very close to verbatim). Charlegmange is a full fledged c00n who believes that black people are inferior to white people so I will assume that he was also c00ning in the video that you referenced even without me seeing it.

Miley Cyrus doesn't want to be black, no white person wants to be black. Like Chris Rock said in his stand-up, there isn't a single white person who would switch places with him and he's rich. She just wants to use black imagery to sell this particular album. she's pimping black culture and I use black culture in the loosest sense here. I guarantee you once this thing dies down, she'll go back to her whitebread roots on some please take me back, I'm not a n*gger lover no more. They all do. If she wanted to be black, she would be grinding on chris brown instead of thicke and dating black dudes. She knows once she's seen with a black man in an intimate light, she's good as done to her white base, excommunicated forever. She's no Teena Marie ya'll. She's just another madonna.

EXActly...

It must be good to be Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke.

You can go about the business of engaging in rampant sexual suggestive dancing and misogyny without reproach.

Cyrus, the 20-year-old former child television child star turned musical wild child, was seen gallivanting and grinding her petite rear on invisible inanimate objects and the groin of Thicke, 36, as he playfully accepted during the annual MTV Video Music Awards extravaganza Sunday.

While the pair received an array of reaction from the crowd inside Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, on social media and those watching it all unfold via television, best believe their acts will not be used as a representation of white women and white men.

Cyrus’ twerking exploits will not been seen as a microcosm to explain promiscuity and illegitimacy among young white teen girls or the white community in general.

I don't have a comment as, I never watched or let my daughter watch Miley Cyrus.
shyt, real talk..
I just found out hannah montana and her were one and the same.
Plus, I have not watched anything on the main mtv channel.
As far as videos during the day or prime time hours since ghetto b*stard by nbn was in c00n oversaruration. Or they moved yo to the weekend with no good videos and the censored version of protect ya neck.
So, i really have no base, experience or knowledge to refer to.
To put Miley or MTV in the proper context.
I never any watch award shows, ever.
After, it made no sense for u2 to dominate and swept the Grammy's over Stevie.
When, i like u2, a whole fukk'n lot.
When, it comes to charlemagne.
i strictly ignore him, as he is trying to be the black howard stern. Plus, I turned on my peanuts parent mode filter,..
So everytime he talks,...
I only hear WAa wha way wha, blah blah.
so, I have no context to properly comment.
Especially, in this day and age when tricknology of this type is so far progressed and cerebral.
You have to be an expert on the exact subject,to make a comment. Or be able to spot the exact wrong in this situation.

I file shyt like this in the hof nwa way of thought.
NWA : GET OFF THAT BULLshyt, TURN OFF THE MOTHERfukkING RADIO!

being offended is an industry in this country. it's like people invent new stuff to be offended by.

Couldn't be more right. Being "offended" and calling for peoples jobs is the new thing to do. You see it everywhere.

Reality is the most offensive thing about her is the bytch is way too skinny. I used to fukk with her, but she is borderline gross now with that figure

I think it's a mistake to try and posit a racist animus for the criticism of Miley's twerking. You can divorce the "racialized" aspect of the performance from the "sexualized" aspect. The outrage I think people are expressing isn't that she's "acting black", but that she was acting so overtly sexually. These people feel that Miley's twerking would have a corrupting influence on young people, and indirectly increase teen sex/teen pregnancy. Put another way, I imagine there would be the same outrage if everything was the same, except instead of twerking, she did some kind of belly-dance or gypsy snake dance on Robin Thicke's crotch.

On another level, people feel that Miley's behavior comes off as desperate for attention (ridiculous hair, etc.). So they're calling her out on this performance as a questionable career move.
