Yep, surprisingly enough Black coaches never seem to receive that "genius" fawning tag that is so readily bestowed on white coaches/managers. White folks, and the largely white press, are still very uncomfortable with acknowledging intellectual prowess concerning black players/coaches, as opposed to acknowledging "raw ability" (primitive, unthinking negro). Doc Rivers is a great example, because they tried to discredit the man for years. Now they've just given up and dont say a thing about him after Doc made 'em look stupid. lol. Even tho he reps the B, I was happy for his chip in '08, because of how much the press was doggin him.
