Vick ain't soft. He's undersized.

This. The injury rate for smaller QBs is very high and it probably has to do with their bone structure. I remember Colin Cowherd bringing out statistics a while back on huge QBs like Bledsoe, Big Ben, Vinny Testeverde, etc vs. smaller QBs and their was damn near a direct correlation between size and injury rates.

Its funny that people want Vick to stay in the pocket more, but the last few injuries he has had were because he decided to make a play with his arm in the pocket. Either way he loses to critics. Damned if he do, damned if he don't :manny:

:dwillhuh: don't ever use Cowherd as a reference point...Testaverde was always injured and so is Big Ben. A wack ass offensive line will get you hurt faster than anything playing Qb in the NFL, I don't give a shyt if you 6'7 or a 5'11 nikka like Vick.

At the top.
He's been getting a lot of rib injuries. Like someone else mentioned, he's getting more injured inside the pocket than scrambling. Vick needs to go back to what was working for him.

Apparently the x-rays were negative tho, hope he aight.

Chill breh :comeon:

I'm not hating, its just a cause for concern. I think if he had some designed scrambles a few times, it would keep the pass rush back just a little more. Ben has been hit hard many times and still comes back up, even after the bad o-line. Vick has the smallest frame of all starting QBs. Of course freak injuries such as happened to Brady and Palmer can occur, but they take flush hits better than Vick. David Carr had the worst o-line in history and was sacked endlessly and bounced back up every time.
