Yup been saying that shyt forever. Dudes talking that shyt like cause they're athletic it means they can hold their own. Nah combat fighters is different. They know how to move their feet and put weight behind their punches. Most untrained people just throwing arm punches and don't know how to set their shots up.

I think there is something in boxing like say tennis... you can see the most sporting people pick up a racquet and it just doesn't work (Lewis Hamilton, Cristiano Ronaldo), it takes training and also a natural ability. There are some sports that translate, boxing isn't one of them. I feel you need to have a real passion for it and honing down the fundamental of using your hips takes alot of work... these guys swinging for the fences, they don't realise real power doesn't come from your arms haha. And also half the battle is won until you begin sparring, then you learn this shyt is chess... and you need to know what to throw 5 steps ahead and have plans and exits for different scenarios...
