buster douglas had the night of his life because he came in the fight with his mind right...he didnt fear tyson and he was in shape...buster douglas had plenty of skill and could fight..always did..like tyson it was a mental thing with him..he didnt always train hard like should have...with regards to size there was only like a 10 pound difference between that night..so it wasnt just size...buster established a jab early and used his height and reach to keep tyson at bay..buster also threw hard fast combinations and was able to get off first constantly..not just on the outside but the inside too..when have you see wilder do any of these things in the ring? you need activity to beat the mike tyson douglas beat. wilder is low activity even with his jab, his footwork and head movement is not great, and he throws or wings one punch at a time..you will not beat a mike tyson that way...douglas did everything right to a tee save for getting caught with one uppercut and it still took an accumulation of punishment over 10 rounds to put mike down
