He's a casual bball fan at best

Nah..he's much more than a casual fan. He's said this so many times on the station. I remember some NHL/Rangers fans calling in and getting mad because he was talking too much NBA/Knicks

Much bigger baseball fan and NFL fan[gambler]

This doesn't make him a casual fan of ball though.

He watches more basketball than he leads on. Some days he mentions in passing "I was watching the Blazers game last night..." and it's usually a :dwillhuh: reaction from me but then I remember okay yeah he does follow the NBA but it's not like he used to. When the Knicks were great in the 90s he and Dog went to games and followed the NBA like crazy. Mike has a lot of knowledge from the 70s and 80s NBA too. Sometime around the Knicks demise he began to watch less and less but the last few years he's been much more into it. He even has NBA analyst guests on quite frequently now.

You're right about that I think he does like the NBA but he almost apologizes for watching this games because he I think he thinks the majority of his fans that are middle aged and white hate the NBA

he still watches but he doesn't talk alot about it unless the Knicks are winning because alot his callers only talk about NFL and MLB. For example, I heard alot of talk about the Knicks on his show (and everyone elses) between 2012-2014 (Gallo, Amare, Lin and then Melo w/ the 50 win season)

Windhorst is always on his show talking NBA

Exactly! They only talk NFl and MLB and when he does talk NBA around playoff time, NHL fans get salty:mjlol:Francessa, Joe & Evan, Mark Mulusses and a few of those newer overnight cats (not tony paige or steve summers) all talk and know their NBA.

I rarely hear him do NBA but he talks College bball quite often. Still the drop off of his bball knowledge compared to baseball, football and horse racing knowledge is noticeable. He is great on those three topics, very knowledgeable.

Mike watches the NBA, there's this one white dude who will call in about once a week and engage him on it and I'll hear Mike talk about shyt that happened during games that you would have to have League Pass to have seen so I can tell he fukks with it. As its been said he doesn't really talk about it since the NY teams are trash and white dudes who call in mostly only want to talk football and baseball.

Yeah, Ira Winderman... Son was just on with Mike. He'd talk Knicks/Nets providing they actually do something. I think the one regular black caller I've heard on the FAN is this one dude Andrew, I think his name is, that usually calls Joe and Evan, and usually to talk about the Knicks.
