yea because looting has worked so well every other time. you know damn well most people aren't looting to get noticed, they can just get free stuff because the cops are not going to step in.

There's been lot of literature and critical analysis about the political fallout of riots/looting. Some say that the riots of the 60's were more effective than the non-violent movement. Truthfully, they both played a role in pushing the agenda forward. As violent as it is, it does garner national attention and spark conversation that can change policy.
