Clear smear campaign just in case Cotto leaves HBO and Arum, they will call him all type of bytches for avoiding a career high, very predictable.....
The PPV sales would bomb anyway Sergio aint no fukking draw, especially after being exposed twice, plus 40 years old, and coming off a year and change of inactivity.....

BoxingScene.com spoke to Sampson Lewkowicz, the adviser to WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez, regarding the overseas rumors that a fight with former three division king Miguel Cotto is coming closer to a deal.
According to several sources in Puerto Rico, the fight is being targeted for June 7th at New York's Madison Square Garden.
Lewkowicz had "no comment" on whether or not MSG was reserved, on June 7th, for the purpose of staging Cotto-Martinez.
However, he did say the entire team is waiting to get the final report on Martinez's knee injury, which he suffered during April's decision win over Martin Murray in Argentina.
"Before we do anything, we are waiting for the doctor's final report, by the end of next week, on Martinez's knee - and then we will know if he can fight in March, April or June," Lewkowicz said.
If Martinez is given the green light from his physician, then Cotto will have to make a decision on whether or not he plans to fight Martinez for the chance to become the first Puerto Rican boxer to capture four titles in four weight divisions - or accept a very lucrative offer of $10 million dollars to fight Saul "Canelo" Alvarez on March 8th.
"He has offers from two people - a banker with $10 million dollars.....and a hall of fame promoter who offers pride, honor, glory and also money - to have a shot at the fourth title to make history in Puerto Rico," Lewkowicz said.
Regarding the circulating reports of Cotto being offered a package of $15 million dollars for Martinez, Lewkowicz became hysterical with laughter.
"That story of 15 million dollars is a fantasy. If you believe that, I have an extra Tecate for you," Lewkowicz said.

I'm assuming Cotto's team is going to make a decision soon considering the Canelo offer is for March. Either way Cotto's gonna make 8 figures after all is said and done. Cotto must be lickin his chops right now.
From what I hear the fight is all but confirmed for Mar 8th, lets see how this plays out.....

I don't know, based on Cotto going to China on Top Rank's dollar along with Canelo's 1st fight in 2014 being in March and we have yet to hear anything from Canelo's camp, I really think Martinez is gonna be the option along with Cotto not having to rush back into training if the fight is June 7th. Who knows, we may see a complete 180 but I know Fight Hype doesn't just post sh*t without some definitive sources (based on my experience reading their articles). I assume We're gonna know real soon though.
Besides, you can't get anything definite from Cotto. I love dude as a fighter but he never says a god damn thing
