Flight Simulator uses it, it’s the only way to have that much detail from anywhere on the globe. Probably something like that where it would be impractical to have all the data downloaded locally.
Using cloud computing doesn't equate to being cloud only.

People sh*t on Stadia but infrastructure, software and local hardware are all solid - it's the library that's sparse. MS shouldn't have that problem since they own a bunch of studios but that development seems to be a lot different than console development so maybe this is the space a new studio pops up to fill.

You were ok with your console only working if it had an internet connection that was checked every 24 hours?
Honestly Stadia had cloud only games because Stadia itself was cloud only. Xbox has console hardware so they don't really need cloud only games. I guess maybe the theory is they can do more in games if they keep all the compute power on the cloud side?

Thats what they’re saying Kojima was doing, a unique game that could only be done on cloud. Thats why he was working with stadia. I think hes putting that game on xcloud now and supposedly its episodic, so I’m not really sure what it all means or what kind of game it would even be.
