Love the design, seems very well thought out. Wish they focused more on the experience... the whole conference was talking about like materials and construction but what's the experience gonna be like on these? They needed to show more than just the Netflix app and some e-pen scribbling.

I guess more will come out as time passes, but I'm definitely intrigued. Pricing wasn't announced because they're probably still trying to control costs but here's my armchair speculation:

The pricing of these may be their undoing. You can expect the "Windows 8 Pro" version to be at LEAST $899 and the RT version will be AT LEAST $599.

Right now, the tablet market is pretty much Apple's to lose. I hope we get more on the software experience soon because that's going to sell it. They WILL NOT sell these things on hardware and specs alone.

we've seen a ton on the Win8 and RT experience. RT is smooth as hell. Apps are beautiful. Multi-Tasking is crazy fast. We already know they will be running stuff like One Note and full office even on RT. I'm definitely a fan of their gesture system. One you use it for a few minutes it just surpasses the OSs because it doesn't just make sense, but it really just works right. I'm a big fan of the Win 8 release preview. Have been using it on an HP AIO touchscreen. Just makes sense on a touchscreen. Plus getting to the traditional desktop is a matter of hitting the desktop tile or the windows key. Just damn smooth and I love the live tiles when the computer isn't in use. I use it on my gaming rig too, and its just a better desktop OS than 7. Sleeker looking, better with hardware and just messing around a bit you can see they have change pretty much all the little details. On that system I never touch metro unless I'm using it as the start menu.

I need that Pro :ooh:

Windows RT looks nice but I really want that full windows experience, not just the mobile platform.

I just installed ios 6 and was loving it, but this looks like what i really want. This wont be an iPad killer, but will appeal to a large market in itself. I think Android should be a lot more afraid. This looks like it would destroy any tablet they have put out.
