Xbox Surface: Microsoft's 7-inch gaming tablet | The Verge

Microsoft is building its own 7-inch gaming tablet. Multiple sources familiar with plans within Redmond have confirmed to The Verge that initial hardware planning for an Xbox Surface is underway. Specifications for an Xbox Surface 7-inch tablet computing device leaked back in June ahead of Microsoft's Surface RT and Surface Pro announcement. We're told that the initial specs were accurate and that the final implementation is being worked on.

The Xbox Surface will likely include a custom ARM processor and high-bandwidth RAM designed specifically for gaming tasks. We're told these specifications could be altered to accommodate an unannounced Intel SoC and that the Xbox Surface is being developed independent of specific hardware architecture. Microsoft's Xbox Surface won't run a full version of Windows, rather this 7-inch tablet will run a custom Windows kernel. Messaging and other tablet functions may be supported, but the focus is on gaming

Sony could easly just allow Cloud Gaming on Tablets on Google OS and it would be Gameover because any Computing Rig would work with good enuff Internet connections. The key element in the future will be Bandwidth

Your stupid because u can't answer the question. If Xbox Surface was a Tablet 720 or a 360 Tablet. It's not gonna be as powerful as a dedicated system but 5gigs of Ddram I guess its a 720 Tablet which I guess is the answer. We'll see how this goes.

Is that the name of the Service or Project? I know Sony purchased the Cloud Gaming Service Gaikai.com For anyone that don't know what Cloud Gaming is, its basicly Powerful computers setup across the world streaming the gaming content directly at the touch of a button and can be transmitted from any Video inputs, the key element is Bandwidth. Basicly means Sony and Google could partner at anytime and deliever you PS4 content to your Smartphone or Google Headset or even Google TV. I also heard Sony required the VR headset patients needed for Virtual Reality that will go against the Kinect2.
So this could get really interesting how this could turn out. Sony could easily create a Sega Channel Like broadcast for PS2 PS3 PS4 gaming live Cloud. And its Gameover lol

Its not a 720... its not a 360. It stands alone. It will compete with the mobile market for games but... it will also aid both xbox systems via SmartGlass. But it should be able to do MORE than you could via smartglass.
I don't believe SmartGlass allows full games to be streamed to the tablet like how the Wii-U works (I could be wrong)
I'm sure this tablet will have that functionality and that basically erases the need to even own a Wii-u
Microsoft undercuts that market.. takes it over, and next gen is already won
