I don’t like the word either and wish we would stop saying it, but as long as rappers say it, they will. That’s what made it popular with them.
No it isn't. White people created the word and have always said it in America, they the ones who popularized it for us...

That word was in common usage waaaayyyyyyyy before rap music. Rap helped globalize it to non-black immigrants but white people? It's been in their vocabulary...

Bro that’s not what I was saying. I know they made it and always used it. Its just a fact that it expanded even more to all races from the music . Damn near in every rap song. Both things can be true. It’s not blaming rap. People are influenced by it though. I don’t think people will stop saying it tho regardless

Yeah, because if black people spoke out about it, they're considered c00ns and sell outs :mjlol:

How back asswards are we as a people, where to call each other a slur that white people called us, and get mad when other ethnicities say it. You got people like Fat Joe and Cardi B justifying their right to say it. shyt is dumb.

If we're among ourselves, fine. But you got black people calling white people nikkas. It's accepted ignorance. And people like Cam'ron, that opening use it on his podcast think he's "free" because he can say it as much as he wants. But all it does is kill our credibility. You don't see any other ethnic group calling themselves slurs in the country.
I’ve never heard an argument for using it that doesn’t devolve into hypocritical bullshyt, deflection and essentially I’ll use it if I want to!!

It’s crazy because one of the most crystal clear examples of the lingering psychological effects of slavery is the stubborn embrace of the word

And it isn’t just the use of it. It’s how mad some people get if you dare question it. Like they get bent out of shape if you even suggest thinking differently about it. That’s how you know how embedded it is in their psyche.

Detroit You bytch Ass nikka
Man, some black people are so damn soft. You laugh about it? :what:

Imagine if they used a gay slur, Jew slur, etc. You will get fired, get suspended, get canceled real quick on the next day.
It was a mistake, so imo, in the moment, on TV, id probably laugh too. She didn't intentionally say nikkas. In the moment it's a funny mistake 🤷🏾‍♂️. I'm not finna snap on the chick as if she was trying to say it. Id probably laugh and say some shyt like "you gotta watch that, we finna go viral now".

I don't even like her ass, but y'all nikkas tripping.
