What program you use to get your production to sound clear?

I use Nuendo 2 (Steinberg) for my DAW. It's super outdated but it's what I'm used to. I have a Sterling Audio ST 55 Condenser Mic but you can get real good quality vocals out of any decent condenser mic in the $150-$250 range. As far as effects, I usually throw a software compressor on my vocals as well as a stereo imager. I also EQ them and throw some reverb and/or delay on the effect channels.
