I really wanted David Shaw but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Either of the San Francisco coordinators I'd be ok with also. Of the all the fired coaches Lovie would be at the top of my list.

The GM has already been fired. It's already been reported that Jerry Richardson didn't really want Rivera as coach. The main thing right now is hiring a GM (I keep hearing Marc Ross, the Giants' director of scouting), and then have him make the decision. I don't think this bodes well for Rivera either way, because most GMs are going to want to bring in their own guy.
How many teams with active owners actually do well, though? Richardson needs to chill.
But yea, if a new GM comes in, then it's a rap for Ron. I still think he should get another year. That team is not good.

You NEVER see or hear from the nikka. He fired Marty Hurney cause he screwed up the cap and hired a head coach whose team falters down the stretch. How is that "hands-on" or meddlesome?
