No he isn't. I watch that show everyday in my breakroom. Never get that vibe.
He is consistently carrying out outlandish antics...For a grown man.
I gotta chance to see the K&M's Year in Review while I was out over the Christmas/New Year's break, and was like,

I really think it's his personality, though. He ain't puttin' on too many airs out there.
And Kelly and Mike's interaction would be a bit too close for my liking if I were her husband, but it's Hollywood.
Different rules apply. I'm sure most Hollywood hubbies/wives know what they're signing up for or what to expect when they go Hollywood.
All bets are off when one spouse or both are actors/actresses, personalities...limelight types.

Regis was/is an old white man...he gets a pass.
I really think that's mike's personality as I said.
I just think people see this big, black man on TV being overly-ingratiating and it fukks with their preconceived notions and constructs. They expect something different.
And he has to be safe, but again, it prob. comes naturally to him.
For that kinda of bread, I'd consider doing that, too... And then go home and look in the mirror and question whether I like the way I'm presenting myself to a national audience and whether that's how I wanna be remembered because it doesn't come naturally to me.
And 9 times outta 10, most of the haters have ingratiated themselves to some degree if you work in corporate or in an office setting.
And I don't think Regis ever stripped on the show. But Mike's comfortable. That's good. Glad he is establishing his brand. Playing up that shtick, ya know?

Man don't even trip or get mad real talk black people don't even use the word "c00n" like more than half of these people that are commenting in here are doing. I'm willing to bet more than half of the people throwing the word out trying to be edgy or noticed aren't even black and if they are they're either ignorant black idiots with low expectations of what a black person can or can't do or just flat out jealous. As soon as a black person starts doing something no one else in his position successfully or transitioned in a way that no one else in his race has done before the crab in the barrel mentality and uncle tom references start flying. How about people look at Strahan and recognize his success as an NFL player and blessing to not be crippled or crazy after leaving the game (like 70% of the players after they retire) and ability to now have a successful television career. As soon as blacks start showing that they are more than what people expect of them our own kind be the first to be on that "trying to be white" shyt. Willie Lynch Letter still in effect I see.

I liken this -- loosely -- to the Roots situation...It has been published that Black Thought doing the house band thing has been difficult...but Thought appears to be cut from a different cloth, and is someone who ponders the lasting ramifications of image. And I sense that the detractors on here are at least pretending to be cut from that same cloth.
