Not sure if I replied to this, but a lot of people don't know the history of MSNBC. It started out as a CNN straight news clone. Then, they hired Phil Donahue and he was pretty liberal and getting a lot of flack for being the only person in teh mainstream media standing up against the Iraq war. MSNBC didn't want that "we're against freedom" brand, so they fired the guy who was hosting their highest rated show. Then they started airing all these super patriot promos with "god bless america" and whatnot.
THEN, they went out and hired a whole bunch of conservatives and tried to turn themselves into QUOTE "Fox News-lite". They had Michale Smerconhish, Tucker Carlson (who had just beenfired for running Crossfire into the dirt), Pat Buchanan (who ended up getting fired for making about 10 too many racist comments on air), Joe Scarborough, who just lost his job in Congress after coworker he was cheating with ended up dead in his campaign headquarters (look THAT shyt UP!!!), Alan Keyes, Michael Savage, and probably a couple more I can't remember.
All the new conservatives sucked and when people started thinking the Iraq war was stupid, MSNBC decided to start being a liberal station. That was maybe 10 years ago. But, they were afraid they were TOO liberal, so they turned into the Democratic Party channel instead of a liberal channel and fired guys like Cenk Uygur who would put Democrats on blast. They even tried to fire that pro labor guy on during the day, but he had a huge following, so they brought him back.
So, MSNBC isn't really a liberal channel. They'll support fukking kids if htey think it'll get them ratings.
