Really was ahead of its time stylistically and inspired a lot of other projects that followed. We wouldn’t have that piff, heist set-up music in GTA V without this. :whew:

And I ain’t no thief lol, but the safe cracking scenes looked so precise and methodical whereas other films I’ve watched wouldn’t go that in depth with it. Caan really was the incarnation of cool.
I tried to read The Home Invaders, the book the movie is loosely based on but that shyt is nearly impossible to find. It was written by a real thief and is basically a how to guide to robbing cribs. It gives tips like rob homes with lots of people so if they hear you at night they just think it's someone they know walking around. It teaches you how to fence the shyt, too. People also speculated the BTK serial killer might have used that book to learn how to kill people :picard:

I watched it a few years ago from hearing it mentioned by Artie Lange on the Stern Show. I thought it was dope, but then again I'm a Michael Mann and James Caan fan, so I went into it biased from the start.
