I live in the United States
:snoop: you sound like an idiot bruh.Good job generalizing ALL black women based off what you see in videos and reality tv.These nikkas are in an upper echelon they don't have to socialize wit those type of chicks. They can bag any chick they want including the educated ones wit their own house and drivin a6's
So I said all black women, or is your X chromosomes outnumbering your Y's :leon:

I'm speaking that shyt Sir Martin Luther King would spit if he were still alive :birdman:

The music (most important imo) then the TV shows that gets glamorized within the black community is shyt. Thats what is getting fed to anybody who is prodominantly into black culture in america.
I'm not saying every black person has to be a role model, I'm saying who is a role model for black American women? I have daughters, My oldest was a Beyonce fan. Once she got with Jigga, she was all about being his freak basically. Can't really find another role model for them (I'm talking about outside role models.. of course your parents should be that.. but how many kids even acknowledges that while they still growing up)
Once again, I have kids. So when we in the whip, and Rihanna gets on talkin bout "Come on rude boy, is you big enough"
You think the kids of today don't repeat that. You think they don't try to imitate what she does in the video?
Needless to say, my kids prefer the stations I'd never listen to. Cac stations.
And I'm not mad. I hear the songs, the lyrics. Its a totally different universe.
I see how kids in general carry themselves these days.. .its like they don't have any direction. So with all this going on, you think it doesn't affect our community?
You think there isn't outside forces creating this?
You probably think we just gravitated to this? Huh man?
Went from marching for our rights, to slanging crack once we had it :stopitslime:

Let me drop this little nugget for you. B.E.T. was founded in 1980
Became the first black owned company on the NYSE in 1991
It was no longer a black owned company by 2003
Now why would the white man want to own BLACK ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISON?
The topic we talking about is why. Oh, you don't believe me?
The New York Times reported that the Reverend Delman L. Coates and his organization Enough is Enough led protests every weekend outside the residences of BET executives against what they claim are negative stereotypes of black people perpetuated by BET music videos.[12] Enough is Enough backed an April 2008 report titled The Rap on Rap by the Parents Television Council that claimed that BET rap programming, which they believed contained gratuitous sexual, violent, and profane content, was targeting children and teens.[20]

BET announced in March 2010 that Gordon would return to the network to host "a variety of news programs and specials."[21]

In a 2010 interview, BET co-founder Sheila Johnson said she herself is "ashamed" of what the network has become. “I don’t watch it. I suggest to my kids that they don't watch it," she said. “When we started BET, it was going to be the Ebony magazine on television. We had public affairs programming. We had news... I had a show called Teen Summit, we had a large variety of programming, but the problem is that then the video revolution started up... And then something started happening, and I didn't like it at all. And I remember during those days we would sit up and watch these videos and decide which ones were going on and which ones were not. We got a lot of backlash from recording artists...and we had to start showing them. I didn’t like the way women were being portrayed in these videos.”

Not in that link, but relevant to what I'm saying is how B.E.T. wouldn't even allow music videos that wasn't negative once it was taken over by whites.
THATS THE TRUTH.

After they bought it in 2003, look what happens in 2004...
hiphop-elements.com :: View topic - BET snubs De La and Beatnuts

De La and The Beatnuts recently met with BET heads and got dissed. Word is BET told De La they won't play their video because the legendary group isn't relevant to their audience. Meanwhile, The Beatnuts were told that BET doesn't break new artists
Then in 2005 they said Little Brother's video was too "intelligent"
With Little Brother's The Minstrel Show hitting stores next week, SOHH.com has heard BET is refusing to air the album's first video, "Lovin' It" because it is "too intelligent for the BET audience."

The video begins with a delivery truck dropping boxes labeled "gangsta," "backpackers," "earthy" and "icy" onto a street. The rest of the clip mostly sees LB and Joe Scudda, who is also featured on the song, performing in front of a capacity crowd. The clip also pokes fun at the Hip-Hop subgenres by depicting overly exaggerated backpacker and gangsta characters in the audience. "Lovin' It" also jokingly features typical scenes with Big Pooh sitting next to champagne-sipping models in the venue's VIP section while LB's entourage pop bottles. The video concludes with a car running through the boxes dropped on the street earlier.

The statement of the video being "too intelligent for the BET audiece" was discussed recently on Columbia University's college radio station, 89.9, on the "Squeeze Radio" show. On the show they said the statement was made verbatim by the program director from BET to one of the Atlantic records label reps. This information was obtainmed directly from LB's 9th Wonder.

SOHH.com contacted several officials at BET, including their vice president Stephen Hill, their program director, and publicist, Michael Llewellen who offered this response.

"It's not true, not in that context. BET reserves the right to show or not to show music videos of any type based on the network's own standards and decision-making processes," Llewellyn told SOHH.com.

When questioned further as to whether the words "too intelligent for the BET audience" was used, Llewellen did not respond. Atlantic Records has refused to comment.

The LB incident doesn't mark the first time BET has allegedly banned underground artists from its video rotation. In December 2004, SOHH.com reported that BET snubbed De La Soul's "Shopping Bags" video and The Beatnuts' "Find Us (In the Back of the Club)" clip featuring Akon.

In a meeting with BET heads, De La reportedly said BET told them they "weren't relevant to the BET audience" while The Beatnuts were told that "BET doesn't break new artists." The Beatnuts had previously garnered heavy rotation for videos like "Off The Books" from 1997's Stone Crazy, "Watch Out Now" from 1999's A Musical Massacre and "No Escapin This" off 2001's Take It or Squeeze It.

The network has also been under fire from the black community for cutting its news coverage to make room for more videos in the past few years. Recently, the community has been frustrated with BET for its failure to cover the Hurricane Katrina's crisis.

Little Brother's The Minstrel Show featuring "Lovin' It" hits stores September 13th
But if this isn't enough for you, not sure what iz...
