you can’t call out MJ directly or have a good argument as to why he isn’t the goat so they begrudgingly gave up that debate cause they’ll look foolish. So they just nitpick everything else, then put qualifiers on it.

My first NBA game I went to was at the Capital Centre in Landover Md back in 88
. It was my Washington Bullets 
vs Michael Jordan

As someone what a teenager when Jordan was in his prime, these highlights make 2 things apparent. The league was full of woefully unathletic players in the 80s-90s. And Jordan's dunks are very ho-hum by today's standards. His head is way below the rim on them breakaways.
